Biography

  • Cécile Mouly is a research professor at FLACSO Ecuador, an expert on issues related to armed conflicts and peace processes. There he coordinates the peace and conflict research group and teaches postgraduate courses on peace and conflict studies, academic production and human rights. Conducts research on peacebuilding, civil resistance and reintegration of ex-combatants into civilian life and has several academic publications on these issues. He has a Ph.D. in International Studies from the University of Cambridge for his research on peacebuilding initiatives from civil society in Nicaragua and Guatemala.

    She also has practical experience in the field of peaceful conflict transformation, peace building and conflict prevention as a former UN official and consultant, the OAS, the Carter Center and other organizations in different countries. He is part of the group of United Nations consultants in conflict analysis and prevention and has facilitated training workshops on various topics related to peace and conflict.
