  • He has a Ph.D. in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom; a Postgraduate degree in Education from the Metropolitan University of Manchester and a Master's degree in Political Science, Philosophy and Ibero-Romanistics from the University of Bonn, Germany. He has served as Advisor to the City Council (Stadtrat) of Bonn and the National Assembly of Ecuador. In the teaching area he has worked as a professor of Ibero-American Languages ​​and Studies in several Academies and Colleges in the United Kingdom and is currently a research professor and responsible for the Master's program in International Relations research at FLACSO Ecuador. His areas of postgraduate teaching are Research Methodology in International Relations, Foreign Policy and Political Thought. His field of research focuses on the area of ​​Foreign Policy and Diplomacy with an emphasis on Latin America and on the role of small States in regional and global institutions. He is also interested in research in the field of Geopolitics focusing on theory and its areas of application, especially in the role of geographic spaces and ideological principles in regional integration centers, such as The European Union and the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR).
