Biography

  • Historian. She graduated in History from the Catholic University of Ecuador, did her M.A. in Andean History at FLACSO Ecuador and her Ph.D. in Social Sciences and Political Studies at the same University. Her thesis, soon to be published, is on Practices and political secondary languages in the revolts indigenous of the 18th century in the `Audiencia de Quito´. She has worked colonial social and cultural History and contemporary issues about power, memory, heritage and culture. She has had experience in museums and public History. Currently, she is working in a research with Eduardo Kingman about Popular Culture and Urban Order in Quito between the late eighteenth century and the early twentieth century.
