  • Alfredo Santillán Cornejo is a FLACSO's investigative teacher Ecuador from the year 2009. Licensed in Sociology and Political Sciences for the PUCE (2002), the mastery obtained in Anthropology in FLACSO Ecuador (2006), and a Doctorate in Social Studies (2016) for the University Externado de Colombia. He has been an associate teacher of the Pontificia Universidad Católica of the Ecuador (2007-2013) and as FLACSO's teacher he has coordinated academic programs as the mastery in Urban Studies and the Mastery in Anthropology in the above mentioned institution. Author of several scientific articles, book chapters and books compiled on issues of urban imaginary, socio-spatial segregation, violence and urban insecurity. His current work focuses on the study of urban life from citizens subjectivities. Currently, he looks to understand the cultural processes and the constitution of meanings in shaping cities. He is part of the Department of Anthropology, History and Humanities at FLACSO.
