Cécile Mouly, research professor of the Department of International Studies and Communication, will participate as a speaker at the International Conference 'Cultural Heritage and Conflict', which will take place on 28 and 29 of April in Bogota. This event, organized by `Fundación Gavia´, `Universidad de los Andes´ and `Confederación Suiza´, seeks to realize a general balance sheet on the cultural heritage in the different regions of Colombia and to
discuss strategies to protect and define what would constitute the post-conflict cultural heritage.
The Latin American Magazine of Security Studies URVIO has been indexed to the Latin American Network of Scientific Knowledge and Innovation (REDIB) and DIALNET. Likewise, it is indexed to other bases and platforms such as: Latindex, EBSCO, FLACSO Andes y CLASE. The magazine is a space for critical reflection, debate, updating knowledge, research and consultation on topics linked to security, organized crime, intelligence and public security policies in the region.
Ángel Abrahan Azogue, student of the Doctorate in Social Sciences with specialization in Political Studies 2009-2013, member of the Shuid community of the Guasuntos parish, Alausi-Chimborazo, defended his doctoral thesis “Maneras de Ser comunidad”. The thesis was directed by Eduardo Kingman, research professor at FLACSO Ecuador. The court was integrated for: Carmen Martínez from University of Kentucky, USA; Michiel Baud from the Center of Studies and Documentation Latin Americans (CEDLA), Ámsterdam; Luis Alberto Tuaza from Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo (UNACH), Ecuador; and Michael Uzendoski from FLACSO Ecuador. His thesis was recommended for publication.
