LA MURALLA CRIOLLA narra la construcci\u00f3n en la Argentina de la famosa \u00ab\u00bbzanja de Alsina\u00bb\u00bb, gigantesca trinchera excavada en 1876 a lo largo de la pampa, obst\u00e1culo para hacer imposible las grandes invasiones ind\u00edgenas y que demoraba el arreo de ganado vacuno, bot\u00edn de guerra entre blancos y abor\u00edgenes.
\nLos testimonios de Osvaldo Bayer, Marcelo Valko, Juan Jos\u00e9 Estevez y Alberto Orga reconstruyen el plan militar de Alsina, que busc\u00f3 avanzar la frontera con el indio mediante la ocupaci\u00f3n permanente y la inclusi\u00f3n del tendido del tel\u00e9grafo, lo que permiti\u00f3 la fundaci\u00f3n de Puan, Carhu\u00e9, Guamin\u00ed, Trenque Lauquen e Ital\u00f3, hoy pr\u00f3speros pueblos del oeste bonaerense.
\nEsta es la historia de una zanja denostada, que abri\u00f3 una encendida pol\u00e9mica en su tiempo, y que la repentina muerte de Alsina borr\u00f3. La Campa\u00f1a del Desierto, iniciada por Julio Roca en 1879, la transformar\u00eda en ruinas. Esta es la historia de algunos pobladores del oeste bonaerense, desconocidos, que al haber recolectado toda la informaci\u00f3n a pulm\u00f3n, se llevan todos los laureles por su valor \u00e9pico al haber hallado las huellas de la zanja.<\/p>\n
